Bouldering trips around Madrid
Bouldering has seen an impressive growing number of climbers in most recent years as several new areas have been developed around Madrid.
There’s a total of 7,000 problems over 10 crags if we count all the climbing crags just around La Pedriza.
We offer guided bouldering trips from Madrid to internationally renowned crags like Albarracín, Hoya Moros and La Pedriza. If you prefer smaller and quieter areas we can head to Tamajón, Zarzalejo or Navalosa.
There are climbs for everyone, no matter your level. Our activity day tours have just 2 goals in mind: discover new crags and climbing a muerte!

ACTIVITY DETAILS
- 1 full day, from around 9 am to 4/5 pm.
- 2-day or weekend trips to Albarracín, Hoya Moros, Navalosa, etc., are available at request.
- La Pedriza: 4,000+ boulder problems already developed. All kinds of heights, styles and difficulties. Ideal for summer or winter in an amazing environment.
- Zarzalejo: almost 700 granite boulders with all king of features and grades, with an abundance of overhangs. The perfect landings make it an ideal destination for all kinds of climbers.
- La Cabrera: around 500 granite bouders. A wide range of styles, wuth many good crimpy and juggy overhanging problems.
- Tamajón: 150+ explosive and overhanging limestone boulders in the province of Guadalajara. Many caves and roofs, but also good face climbing walls.
2-day trips (ask for prices and venues):
- Navalosa: a quiet with 500+ boulders ranging from slabs to overhangs, dynos and highballs.
- Hoya Moros: an alpine bouldering paradise located at 2,200 m high, one of the best bouldering crags in Spain. A maze of 1,000+ boulders with many good cracks, highballs, crimpy walls and above all, overhangs.
- Albarracín: one of the best bouldering areas in southern Europe. Around 1,700 boulders on extraordinary sandstone for all kinds of climbers.
- Good physical condition.
- Previous climbing experience, no matter grade.
- Low to high, depending on the chosen boulders.
- Technical clothing for the time of year (warm clothes, windbreaker, waterproofs, etc.). It is always good to have a light layer (or multiple layers), even in the summer.
- Comfortable clothing (loose and not bulky).
- Backpack (approx. 20-25 litres).
- Approach or hiking shoes.
- Water bottle (at least 1 litre).
- Snacks (bars, packed meals, some fruit).
- Sun protection (sunglasses, sunscreen, lip balm, cap or hat).
- Headtorch and batteries.
- Camera or phone.
