PYRENEES:  The two Summits Traverse of Midi d’Ossau

Midi d’Ossau (2,884 m) is an immense rocky mass that was formed by the solidification of magma inside a volcanic chimney. Its great prominence and visibility from all sides made it, despite not having an easy normal route, to be summited very early. It was a shepherd from the Aspe valley who in 1787, just one year after the first climb of Mont Blanc, fulfilling the work to build a landmark as a geodesic vertex, carried out this early feat.

The Two Summits Traverse of Midi d’Ossau along the Peyreget Ridge that we propose is one of the most beautiful climbs you can do in the entire Pyrenees. This essential climb combines a great alpine atmosphere, a certain commitment and a moderate technical difficulty. A great first experience in technical Pyrenean mountains. It is undoubtedly a great activity that, with the help of our guides, you will certainly enjoy.

We also offer you the possibility of ascending the normal route. Ask us, our guides will take you out of doubt.
